Opportunities Fund

The mandate of the Antarctic Science Platform is to conduct excellent science to understand Antarctica’s impact on the global earth system, and how this might change in a +2°C (Paris Agreement) world.

The aim of the fund is to support researchers taking advantage of unexpected, high priority opportunities that are not supported by other means.

Such opportunities could leverage an important capability, a substantial international effort or contribute a unique and critical New Zealand perspective. The proposed project must deliver excellent science that is closely aligned with the Platform mandate and will make important and relevant contributions towards the ASP impact statements. How to apply

Applications can be submitted at any time and will be assessed by international peer-review involving the distinguished Independent Science Panel and the Platform Leadership Team, with the final investment decision made by the Platform Steering Group.
